WINE

Following its merger with the winemaking cooperative Vinadeis in 2021, Cordier, the wine division of the InVivo group, has become the French no. 3 in the sector, thus achieving one of the objectives set out in the 2025 by InVivo strategic plan.

Cordier is now aiming to become a key player in the international benchmark for wines and spirits, for the benefit of the French wine industry, and by promoting a new, more sustainable viticulture.

Strategic objectives:

  1. Build a lasting production and distribution model to withstand fluctuations (poor quality harvests, climate change, variations in energy costs etc.).
  2. Meet the new demands and expectations of consumers: enhanced knowledge levels, interest in the origin and processing of products, diversity of tastes.
  3. Produce high quality wines and beverages that respect the Planet and the People that cultivate the land.
  4. Build alliances to generate maximum value creation and synergies.

Means of action:

  1. Deploy the Cordier Terra360 sustainable winemaking approach throughout the sector, with partners and winemakers, by marketing products with a positive impact.
  2. Continue to develop international brands such as Café de Paris without territorial anchorage but with a strong consumer attachment.
  3. Enter into international partnerships in target and emerging markets.
  4. Diversify the offer through the development of wine and vine by-products.

Performance levers:

  1. Continue to optimise industrial resources and create specialised plants with different focuses and expertise.
  2. Source across all French production areas.
  3. Invest in agile, multi-cultural technical teams and in blockchain-type innovations.

Terra360, Cordier's sustainable CSR project

With the Terra360 program, Cordier is committed and engages its partners, winegrowers, and employees, around 4 major themes: regenerative viticulture and biodiversity; carbon footprint improvement; product traceability; health.

Regenerative viticulture, endorsed by the 3,800 partner winegrowers, is an approach that aims to maintain or enhance ecosystem health and diversity through sustainable and environmentally friendly practices. It focuses on soil restoration, crop diversity, reducing input use and promoting biodiversity.

By imagining alternative formats for wine, Cordier seeks to reduce transportation and packaging costs, as well as emissions related to glass production, and overall to improve the carbon footprint of its 4 production sites.

By combining blockchain technology with its winemaking expertise, Cordier ensures complete and transparent traceability of the wine supply chain, from the vineyard to the end consumer.

Mindful of the health of its consumers, Cordier offers a complete range of alcohol-free wines. An alternative for people who want or need to reduce their alcohol consumption.
