International grain trade

Bringing together the grain trade activities of InVivo and Soufflet, Soufflet Négoce by InVivo is a major European player in this field.

Serving exporters, strategic clients and cooperative partners, the Soufflet Négoce by InVivo team markets wheat, barley, corn, and oilseeds, primarily from France and Europe, and mainly to Europe, the Maghreb countries, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Strategic objectives:

  1. Maintain and expand its client portfolio in order to reach a critical size to further increase operational resilience in the long-term.
  2. Identify niche markets and diversify its product offering to meet the new expectations of its customers and suppliers.
  3. Act as a reference in the ecological transition by connecting consumers concerned about their environmental footprint to sustainable and low-carbon offers.

Means of action:

  1. Gather a sales and operational force dedicated to its customers and storage units.
  2. Develop a key account approach for strategic clients in synergy with the other business units of the group, in particular AIT Ingrédients, for the wheat export sector, and Malteries Soufflet, for malting barley.
  3. Deepen support for suppliers and clients: better-performing logistics resources (rail, river and sea transport and port silos) and appropriate financial instruments (secure payments, etc.).
  4. Capitalise on proven experience in the valorisation of low-carbon sunflowers and rapeseed, and extend the offering to other agricultural commodities.

Performance levers:

  1. Bring the teams together and profit from the combination the teams' best practices, technical knowledge and expertise.
  2. Re-instil the importance of exporters, take up a position as a food security actor, and as a guarantor of quality, provenance and availability.
  3. Ensure transparency and operational excellence in relationships with all partners and build on exchanges with InVivo’s member cooperatives.

Grafite, the team dedicated to low-carbon agricultural raw materials

Within Soufflet Négoce by InVivo, a team specialized in the marketing of low-carbon raw materials. It responds to:

  • the will of farmers to promote their practices aimed at reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and/or storing carbon in the soil,
  • and the growing market demand for low-carbon grains.

This team differentiates itself and innovates in its ability to integrate the different aspects of low-carbon agriculture, giving a clear strategic vision of the opportunities to its suppliers, and operational solutions of volumes and carbon risk to its clients. Grafite assists cooperatives in adapting to market constraints, qualifying and certifying products, and anticipates and identifies regulatory changes, while obtaining the best remuneration for the farmer.
